Country Walk Pool Rules
2010 Country Walk Pool Rules

    1. Pool hours are from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. every day. DO NOT use the pool if there is a POOL CLOSED sign present.
    2. By DHEC regulations, showers must be available at all main entrances. Please take a shower before entering the pool.
    3. The gates must remain closed at all times, and locked when the pool is not in use. If you are the last person to use the pool, please lock all gates.
    4. Children under the age of 13 are not allowed in the pool unless accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.
    5. Non potty-trained children must wear water-tight pants at all times during pool usage. No diapers are allowed. An “accident” will close the pool for at least 24 hours and cost the subdivision $150 in chemicals, plus labor. Due to the type and amount of germs, DHEC also makes the following emphasis. “…Therefore it is important that all pool managers stress to patrons that swimming when ill with diarrhea is an unhealthy pool behavior.” Certain germs take extended time to kill (45 minutes to 6.7 days).
    6. A certified lifeguard must be present during any organized party. The party host will bear the lifeguard expense. Call the Central/Clemson Recreational Center for a list of lifeguards.
    7. Residents are asked to limit their nonresident guests, particularly during high occupancy times. Taking into account the growth of the subdivision, limited pool availability, and past usage, a main concern is pool usage by nonresidents. Nonresidents are not allowed in the pool area without an accompanying resident.
    8. Stay out of the water during periods of lightning or thunder.
    9. No wheeled vehicles of any type are permitted in the pool area (skateboards, bicycles, skooters).
    10. No animals are permitted in the pool area.
    11. By DHEC regulations, no glass is permitted in the pool area. Specifically, DHEC states the following. “No glass of any kind or any other material that may be a hazard to bathers’ feet or bodies will be allowed in the pool area. No furniture constructed with glass components may be located within the pool area.”
    12. No solo swimming. Swim at your own risk.
    13. A phone for local and emergency calls will be available, between the men’s and women’s bathrooms. Please use this phone sparingly, and limit calls to 5 minutes or less.

WARNING

Never enter the pool when the “Pool Closed” signs are displayed. Chemical treatments are used for accidents involving body waste and/or fluids.
